I modded CPU microcode on UEFI 0068 to newer version and used that at one point. Using later mCode with older UEFI/AGESA does not kill boost behaviour for me. So The Stilt/Shamino saying the SMU FW is cause is "on the money" from my tests.

I do not know the location of SMU FW in UEFI, spent ~half day few weeks back.

2701 + 2501 boost or just the ability to boost = a decent official BIOS

Only 2701 will boot on all Linux versions, the other bioses can boot on patched Linux dists.

Yes, the lack of boost is the biggest letdown of 2701, also as AMD advertises boost on each box it will raise complaints. It's strange why AMD did this, there must be a reason but they aren't communicating.

The death of PCIE 4.0 doesn't really bother me, even if some in this thread are experiencing those values have to be set to PCIE 3.0 manual, to avoid stuttering in Windows.

VDDP and VDDG defaulting too high values is another problem with 2701, can possibly be set manual to the right values.

The memory OC regression I experienced can possibly be fixed with different settings, and anyway, running 3733 instead of 3800 isn't a dealbreaker it's still a nice memory clock.

@Shamino -thanks for your hard work...

Could I request ASUS add a way of saving ALL bios profiles in one hit?

I did ask on OCN as well, but got same answer I gave you. It does appear like it could be your CPU. Did you try update to 2602 or 2701?

Where did you get the CPU? Do you have a local store that might be able to test it for you?
Yes, I can check, I just don’t see the point in this, everything indicates that there is a problem with the processor, I will hand it over to the warranty department. I ordered 3900x.
Yes, I was flashing BIOS 2701 and nothing has changed.

4 hours of checking this and that. Did not had this problem on 2501.
Is everything OK with my setup?
