My 3600 Ryzen only boosts up to 3942MHz on all cores @CB20 (~70 degrees). CH6 with bios #7403. Iam not sure if its amd´s or asus fault.

I dont think thats a 'problem' per say thats going to change. It only ever happens if you are one to also turn off your power supply as well. I think thats just how ASUS designs its boards to cold boot.

I agree with Ryo_z's article. There are so many problems.

    [Problem list]
    Double booted
RAM Overclocked Lower than previous BIOS
Cold boot or restart has a high probability of a black screen and a long reboot time
    BSOD-IRQL NOT LESS OR EQUAL
    BSOD-CRITICAL PROCESS DIED
Ramclock and Information Not Displayed in Task Manager
Windows 10 Night Mode Not On
Star 2, Micro Stuttering in Heos Play Seriously
Blue screen occurs after clean installation

if its the all-core run then theres not much wrong with 3942mhz with a 3600. Thats higher than its base clock. The boost clock of 4200 at stock is only guaranteed (when things are working) on a single core. Technically tho with these processors they should be aiming to get that boost clock on 3 cores instead of 1, IMO.

Not sure why u are defending Asus, if there is a problem in the bios, it need to be fix.

Also can u explain why it is working fine in all previous version of bios, but not the latest one? (7401/7403/0002)

I am not mentioning about the power cycling/cold boot problem, the reboot issue will happen even when u not turn off the PSU.

So, if u are not using these boards (c6h/c7h) or u did not shutdown/reboot your PC, u won't discover this problem. But this does not mean the problem is not present.

The chipset driver is better to use the official AMD page or on Asus site for this bios?

Official AMD, in general things runs better if you do not install anything from Asus.

Are you seriously attempting to argue that it's not a problem if your PC doesn't cold boot properly? lol. Also turning off the power supply is NOT the only time it happens, I've had it occur numerous times simply booting my PC for the first time on a given day, with it having been shut down but not completely powered off overnight.

Excellent advice. Software is not what Asus are good at, to put it mildly. Would be really nice if we didn't have to depend on them for BIOS updates too, but you can't have everything.
