I flashed to 2703 2 days back and i noticed some weird things.

CBS in bios lacks A LOT of settings.. I can't even tweak my RAM anymore..

Boost clocks are fairly good in Windows for a change but that's about it. I can't reboot because it hangs giving random error codes on the display. I also can't cold boot and i have to push the reset button in order to boot properly.

I reset every thing and pulled the BIOS battery in order to do an proper reset but that only results in even more carnage as the buttons on the board do nothing, reset and or save boot as it only boots in the BIOS and or Windows with the same settings..

Now i have to flash back to previous BIOS as this 2703 BIOS is utterly broken for me or my board is going bad.

That's weird. My 2703 going great with 3900x. Ram timings at 14.14.17.14 3400 too.

Still debating if I should leave this for stilt bios or wait.

Not weird at all mate, i am on 2600x. The weird part is that Assus is not capable of releasing a BIOS that can handle both and is the only manufacturer with this problem and blame it on AGESA or AMD... I hate that.. just admit the issue and fix it instead of lying all the time..

Things are getting worse over at Assus ROG since Elmor left..

I do not know which rock you have been hiding under, but there's plenty of issues over at the other vendors as well. Yes, Asus could be better, but NO they are not worse than anyone else in particular.

I am not under a rock, you are in denial i think.. Several of friends of mine have Gigabyte or MSI boards and have none of the issues Assus is having..

Nevertheless, Assus is telling and advertising that they "are the best" while they clearly are not with all these issues. Several of their staff members left for good reason and that is not because Assus is the best...

Has any known figure besides Elmor left? Is Raja still at ASUS?

Which exactly BIOS? Can you provide a link? Thanks!

Idk man, haven't heard or seen anything from him so i guess he left too.

They don't care about us consumers man, i think that is quite obvious now as they don't answer any of us questions.. I even emailed them and never got an answer back.

Last ROG product i ever buy and i hope a lot of other people do the same.

As I understand, you modded ABBA Bios. How do you like it? Which one gave you the best results?
As you said, SMU FW 46.49.00 has the highest performance, but I can't figure out which BIOS contains it.

We have several versions of our bios being modded. Me, Gupsterg and The_Stilt with various options enabled including using the new 1.0.0.3 ABBA SMU FW. They range from the basic just the SMU FW change to fully unhidden options. You just need to search in the C7H thread in overclock.net to find the one you want.

I am currently working on the C7H non wifi 002+ based on gupsterg SMU FW ABBA updated. I have the C7H Wifi done. My modded bios have the most features unhidden as it takes around 6 to 8 hours of editing so it takes times. So pick your flavor.
