Crosshair Hero VI (Wi-FI) and Ryzen 9 3900X?

Hello.

I bought a Crosshair Hero VI (Wi-Fi) along with a Ryzen 7 1700x at launch and am considering upgrading to a Ryzen 9 3900x down the line (once they become more readily available).

Has anyone been able to confirm that this chip will work on this motherboard without issue? I keep the BIOS updated and it looks like ASUS just recently updated their compatibility list to include the 3900x (when I checked a few weeks ago, it was missing).

Has anyone out actually been successful with this combination of CPU and motherboard?

I have the non wifi Crosshair VI Hero. I swapped my existing 1700 with a R9 3900X and machine had cold boot issues with C5 error code.
So I went with this BETA BIOS posted by Shamino here-

This BIOS works smoothly for me but the temps are a bit too high on my Noctua NH-U12S.

With Bios 7302 I am having great success with the 3900x and the C6h. Also have a Radeon 5700 XT using PCIe 4 x16 without any apparent issue other than normal ones from drivers/games. Running 4 B-Die dims at 3733mhz which surprises the hell out of me but hey I will take that in a heart beat. I don't think everyone is having this kind of success but so far it has been very good.

I'm also running the C6H (non wifi) with 7302 and a 3900X.

With 7302 and the latest chipset drivers released yesterday, I have 32GB (4x8GB) B-die running at 3600 C16, 1.35V.

It boosted about 100MHz higher (right up to 4.6 GHz) with the previous 1.0.0.2 based BIOS, but that seems to be an AMD AGESA issue, not ASUS, so sure it will be fixed soon.

I ran Prime95 small FFTs, and the VRM temp didn't break about 70 deg C and that's with water cooling.

Sorry for not replying earlier, but thank you for the responses! I think I'll give it a try if I can ever find a 3900X in stock.
