Same problem
I'm wondering the same thing about this motherboard. My idle temperature keeps hovering around 50C+ and when I entered the BIOS the voltage was at 1.4V+ although I had set it to offset -0.20. Please help us Asus, thank you.

The following is coming from a person on another forum, but it's said they only have 1 guy doing the BIOS' and that he's on a vacation, the person who told me this (it was noone official) said expect September. Again this is all conjecture, take it with a grain of salt.

I think its very strange that Asus can release bioses to the X570 Prime series with Agesa 1.0.0.3AB
2019/07/17
PRIME X570-PRO BIOS 0808
Update AGESA 1.0.0.3AB to improve system performance;
And to the Crosshair VIII with Agesa 1.0.0.3ABB
Version 0803
2019/08/06
ROG-CROSSHAIR-VIII-HERO BIOS 0803
1.Updated AM4 combo PI 1.0.0.3 patch ABB
2.Optimized the chipset fan profile. The new profile allows the chipset fan to stop during idle or when temperature is low.
3.Supports Ubuntu 19.04 and other Linux distros
4.Improved system performance, stability and storage device compatibility
And not for the ROG Strix X570-E Gaming.
Waiting untill september is not a option for me, then i will return it and buy a Gigabyte motherboard.Last edited by thomson1969; 08-06-2019 at 12:03 PM.

I already download bios 0807, but it was removed.
Install it in the bios with the internet search.

I've always been an Asus customer for M/B but if really is just Shamino that has to take care of all the AMD bios updates...we will never receive updates on "time". Not his fault, i'm not blaming the guy but since the release of this new platform/chipset Asus should invest some of his money in a team that can actually follow-up the AGESA release and iron out the bugs in the bios.
One, even if it's really good at what it does, is not enough IMHO.
Anyway i ordered this M/B that should come in this week-end and i have questions...do you guys had WHEA errors with NVMe drives? Is there something i should do or take care of during the installation (software) process?
Thanks

New Bios and Chipset Profil
I also hope that there will be an update in the near future. That only one at Asus works on the bios, I think fake bull****.
What interests me most is the control of the PCH fan.
If I read at the CH8:
2.Optimized the chipset fan profile. The new profile allows the chipset to be idle or when the temperature is low.
I'm getting hope that Asus is also there with the E.
I would be really surprised and disappoint, if Asus does not release the control for the fan.
I could see that the fan activates from 58 ° C.
In idle I have so 63.5 ° C and 2400rpm.
Other board manufacturers have a semi-passive mode where the fan only starts from 75 ° C

Oh for me too it's a exaggeration but i really don't know for sure and right now i really hope for the best.
Anyway Shamino should be back on 12th of August so we can expect some news shortly after that
I think that we will get a PCH fan control in bios for sure.
Right now i'm more worried about WHEA errors since i'm goin to use a NVMe device and the fix for that is within AGESA 1.0.0.3 ABB Patch as you can read here:
https://community.amd.com/community/...-and-destiny-2
That's why i think it's important to push AGESA updates as fast as Gigabyte is doing...
