Happy that info may have eased your mind some.

I read last night that if you are using HWINFO to review voltages, the "VID" values represent the voltage values requested but in actuality, and it's more apparent when you have an offset in place, it is better to look at the values for "CPU Core Voltage (SVI2 TFN)" to see the actual voltage level that is being applied. Not sure if that is correct given multiple cores but only one such value. That being said the number does appear to synch pretty well with the -.05 offset I am using. Ex. 1.50v max VID value but my max CPU Core Voltage value reads 1.456v.

    Bios 2408 and above

    Hello,

I tried to built the following configuration last week:
    ASUS ROG STRIX X570 e-gaming
    Ryzen 9 3900X
Power: Be Quiet Straight Power 750W
    Arctic freezer II AIO
    G.Skill Trident Z NEO 32GB DDR4 32Gtzn 3200 CL16 (2x16GB)
MSI GeForce RTX 2080 SUPER GAMING X TRIO
    Crucial P1 1TB
    Silicon Power SSD Mvne 2TB

First starting and OS installation went smoothly on the Crucial P1 SSD, CPU at 40 degrees in BIOS ... then issues begun :
    - first increased memory speed to 3200Mhz
    - OS freezes and random restarts
    - checked the device manager and some PCI devices and bluetooth not recognized by Windows (got an old win 10 version so maybe missing some drivers and needs upgrading)
    - I got back to default values on memory, same issues (did not succeed by pushing the reset CMOS button, did it short-cutting the pins on MB)
    - I decided to update the Bios , did it through the network, went smoothly too and here I was with 2408 (frankly I do not recall the original BIOS version)
    - same issues
    - tested the GC in an other PC => ok, recognized as a 2080 super
    - used 2 sticks of the 4 from G.Skill Trid. Z 32G 3200MHz 14, not Neo version, older one (so got 16MB in bios) and a GTX 1080Ti from another PC
    - same issues
    - to be sure I have the default values, I loaded the default values through the Bios and it got worse at next restart, ended up in Ad while booting; found on another post that it means OS cannot be loaded. So Crucial SSD was not readable for booting anymore.
    - tried to load OS into the Silicon Power SSD because as I had issue with the Crucial one. OS installation always OK.
    - but OS freezed again
    - and after that won't post again : Ad (not in the documentation) but it seems it means processor error, with red led on. So no Bios access anymore.

So I do not know if the CPU was indeed bad, or if the MB just broke it (as I saw that voltage is pretty high on X570 MBs with the Ryzen, up to 1,5V), or if I had other instabilities, but when I see that there is a new bios only a couple of weeks after the previous one, it worries me.
I asked for a MB replacement and sent my CPU back to AMD: I will have the MB this week, , the CPU..someday...

F4-3200C16D-32GTZN and crucial P1 seem compatible .. would the MB not accept Silicon Power and mess up everything? Even an incompatibility should not end in no post with CPU error.

Would you recommend the latest 2608 Bios with this configuration, or a previous one ?

Never got this kind of issues with Intel CPUs on my 3 previous configurations. This was my first AMD try and frankly I kinda regret it, but I'll it one more chance.

I go now with version 1407 with the G.Skill Trident Z RGB (AMD) of 3200 and personally it goes great, that if before they released the 2000 versions of bios, it was a horror every three restarted the computer or froze, That’s why I came down to a version of bios that I knew I was going to and I put it and since I played I don’t play anymore.

Thanks for your feedback, I'll try this BIOS first, letting everything to default and upgrading it only when everything will seem pretty much stable and running (if it runs I won't upgrade it though)
I may have had several issues at the same time (BIOS, CPU, PCI bus with the SSDs..) so I have to try to get rid of them one by one. Because freezes and restarting should not lead to no post with a CPU error, but it may contribute to look into the wrong direction.

I already tell you from where I have everything perfect, no reboots or freezes, but of course you have to look to go down to the version of bios 1201, with the back button of the motherboard that if changing the name of the file and then when you get to put the 1201, you put the 1407 and ready.
I did it without and perfect.

Maybe the RAM modules are at issue since you are seeing different results with different RAM speeds/settings? If using 2 sticks of RAM did you try just 1 stick in slot A2 using DOCP 3600? If more than 2 sticks maybe try just 2 with DOCP 3600 for testing purposes? You may also want to check the RAM model's voltage requirements and adjusting that if needed.

No issues (so far) on v2602. Flashed a few days ago, entered BIOS settings manually after reboot, used the DOCP settings for my Ballistix 3200 RAM and no stability issues.

I'm wondering if the Neo brand from g.skill across all boards with DOCP fails on the latest BIOS. Anyway, I got it working 3600 on a CH6 using DOCP, by manually entering some of the subtimings.

Circled in red, the manually entered subtimings, YMMV but you could give this a try. Adj DRAM Voltage this morning from 1.35 to 1.36 to avoid cold boot failure. Anything not circled is in AUTO, expect the blue notes which are DOCP profile settings left as is from DOCP not changed. FCLK I forgot to circle - set to 1800.

On another point you cant even enter tRRDS value of 3 on CH6 or CH8 with 4 being lowest value it defaults too.

Hope you find this of help.
