Which board would you choose out of the two? I ask because i have a faulty Omega that i will be returning, and i may pick this up instead.. price isn't an issue, i just want the best performance.
I would pickup the Encore its a better board it has better power delivery for the CPU 2x8 pin and a 4pin, I might buy one and sell my Omega off

Hmm...not sure why I would 'upgrade' to either the Omega or the Encore. Encore = last song of X299?

I actually like my first R6E a lot, I have two of them. Only thing I can think of is that I couldn't pass 400W on the CPU for some reason. Not that my loop could handle it either too well. Hopefully it'll support Cascade Lake-X, then again I am curious about the Threadrippers too.

BTW-Is that a 6pin PCIe connection at the top right near the 2 8pin CPU connectors?

It's a 6-pin EZ_PLUG Power connector so it could be but it's plumes into the CPU socket.

The 1st model was good but the Omega overclocks better and is more stable due to the improvements made.

you can't pass 400watts due to power design Asus said the Omega is good up to 600w I would say the encore could push even more due to it's extra connector.

You have what temperature on VRM with this cooling system (2 fans with Omega) ?

The PCIe slots correspond to that (on the case's location) ?

On the other hand, the last occupied PCIe slot, the Power buttons, etc ... are no longer usable

IMO that's a ridiculous place to put the buttons. There was nothing wrong with where they were on the R6E.

My VRMs never go over 35c with a 4.6Ghz overclock, I don't use the buttons so i don't really care lol.

Use would only use the buttons on a test bench and the bottom placement is better for a test bench.
