I got mine in today. I gently plugged a 6 pin PCIe cable into it. It booted fine. I did not force the connection. Seems to work ok. The pin out looked to be a PCIe cable connection on simple inspection.

Just looked a little closer. The pin out is not exactly the same. Not sure which cable to use. Only have 2 cpu 8 pin which are being used. The manual is confusing.

Looks like the specs are identical for the cpu and PCIe cables.

Do you know if you can disable M.2 drives in BIOS ?

I checked advanced/onboard device configuration and I don’t see where to disable m.2 drives. Is there another place in the bios to check?

Lookie what arrived the other day!!!

I brought one.. I'm upgrading from the Omega. Why? Cause I can. Although there's no U2 port, there's always converters for M.2 headers should one really need them and having eight USB headers is by far more flexible than the usual six.

I especially love the reengineered MOSFET heat-sink fans. I wonder what sort of performance noise this will make as I hated the high-pitch sound emitted from the older Omega... I hope those are quieter.

Question, does anyone else have only TWO screws holding each of them MOSFET fans in place? So the two center holes are vacant but are threaded.

Yes. That’s what mine looks like as well. Only 2 screws holding the fans in place.

BTW Ultra, can you confirm that’s essentially a PCIe 6 pin connection at the top right even though it’s labeled differently in the manual? The pins are a little different.

I can confirm, uses the 6 Pin Molex from the GPU power connector, the same one you'd use with a graphics card for added power. Fits in easily on my board....
Though the manual (page 1-29) warns you, NOT to use the 6pin by itself but and use BOTH 8 and 6 pins or just the two 8 pins.

That’s the confusing thing. Right now I have both 8 pins installed and the 6 pin. The way it’s worded makes it unclear. Thanks.
