VRMs have "good temperatures" with this motherboard (with an OC) then ?
It seems that it heats a little less with the 6pin plugged in addition to 2 8pins
    Sorry for my english

I haven't put mine through any testing yet. Awaiting cascade lake. I put a 9800X in it to get it up and running.

Yes. As I stated earlier, the connection to that 6 pin was effortless. There was no resistance at all. Seems to be working fine. Thanks.

Ultra-Did you ever figure out those possible missing screws for the vrm fans? Is it really supposed to be like that?

I think I understand why the two screws in the middle were missing.. It's maybe because they're not required, part of cost cutting and/or when you look through the holes, you see bits of the heatsink fins blocking the passage. Still I don't understand why they could have used shorter screws.

I worked around this by using spare screws from it's sister board, the Rampage IV Extreme. They're the supplied screwed, originally used to bolt a 120mm fan onto the badly designed VRM heatsink... Since I don't have the board anymore, I figured I'll make uses of them parts. Those screws ever so slightly longer, has a gunmetal or titanium finish instead of the black. I basically took a dremel to shave of the excess and a black sharpie to make them match (sort off).

Then carefully removed the round rubber pads from the Omega VRM fan assembly, then stuck them onto the Encore and you know, they're a perfect fit!! However, having not tested the board yet, I may choose to reverse this last modification since it might vibrate too much or hinder cooling.. lol

I'll be one of the few who'll be looking for a VRM waterblock for this board..
I have started a thread over at OCN, hoping one of the manufacturer will reply... Welcome to add to it, if you're interested too!!

    https://www.overclock.net/forum/1806...aterblock.html

P.S. Asus, great job on the enclosed multi-tool... Only needed to glue the tiny magnet in place for it to be absolutely perfect.
In future revisions, can it have an anti-roll knotch somewhere?

The VRMs on this motherboard do not heat up much, it seems
I do not know if it would be useful a waterblock

On my R6E, with a waterblock, the VRMs are at ~ 50° (Realbench)
And with the Encore, temperatures would be between 50 and 60° (according to some user tests)
    Sorry for my english

Just installed the DIMM.2 with a single Intel 905p in the _1 slot, but the secure erase feature does not find the drive. The drive shows up in the bios otherwise. I don't think a partition is necessary for secure erase to work?
