P8Z68-V LX Data in EC or EC Flash might be corrupted

Hello!
I've got a brand new p8z68-v lx yesterday and put a intel i5 2500k on it, but now on bootup it displays the error message
"the data in the ec or ec flash might be corrupted" in POST and shuts down after.
I do not have the option to enter BIOS.
What can i do about this?

thank you!

ps: sometimes it displays "cpu fan error" along with the other message, but the fan (mugen 3) seems to work fine 😞

Could you check that you do not have the 1394 cables connected in the wrong place?

What I would do is remove all the stuff not needed to boot for the first time.

So only CPU and cooler. One stick or ram and the VGA not even a hard drive. No usb header or anything like that.

Cheers

using the clear cmos jumper did the trick, but no idea why, mainboard was fresh out of the box...
no, there were no cables at all connected 😉 (but power sw and vga)

There is a solution:
- Disable EPU
- Disable CPU Spread Spectrum
- Disable Internal PPL
- Do not use Turbo mode.

Internal PPL - non-loading reason.

I take this solution from shop feedback page (in russian).
