if it's not a matched quad then your going to need more cpu/nb and prob a little more mem voltage .. as for the headers ..
try reflashing your bios to the same one .. you may have clitched it ..

i just use the ai suite.. download bios and follow on screen instructions .. just don't have it oc ..

I would not recommend flashing the bios in a Windows based program.
Simply place the bios file on a formatted FAT 32 USB flash drive with nothing else on the drive.
Boot into the bios and navigate to ASUS EZ FLASH, the bios file on the drive should be there, then update.

Hmm.. Thanks guys.. I'll have a play around when I get some time to my self.. Will I have to reinstall windows a third time.?
I just don't get why it's only the fans plugged into the "cha_fan" Ports ??

You don't have to reinstall Windows, but updating the BIOS will reset all your settings and wipe your OC profiles, so make a note of them beforehand.

How to update a BIOS:

1. Download the latest Crosshair V Formula BIOS from the ASUS site
2. Format a flash drive as FAT32
3. Copy the BIOS file (not the zip) to the clean flash drive.
4. Restart the PC, go into the BIOS
5. Under the tools menu select EZ Flash 2
6. Select the Flash drive from the drive list and then press Enter on the BIOS file and follow the prompts.

Please flash your bios this way. Do not attempt a bios flash in a windows enviroment that is already giving you BSOD's and crashing.
