    Had one the other day with keyboard problems.

    That ASUS Number Pad driver is bad. Manually update (browse computer for driver software) the driver, pick from list of available drivers, install the second listed driver not the first. Should be another HID Keyboard Device.

    I would delete all the other HID Keyboard Devices and software in Device Manager, then rediscover items, see if they come back.

    ok thanks I will try that. thanks for your help. There should not be so many problems with a breand new laptop .

    I'm on this forum often and I had seen this problem before.

    With all the changes to the many versions of Windows 10 and all the updates that follow, it's remarkable that there aren't many more driver problems.

    HI, I reverted to the older touchpad driver as you suggested. Unfortunately I am still not able to make special characters using the laptop's number pad.
