Of course uninstall and re-install of SS3 didn't solve the issue.

After many hours spent on this issue, I think it's caused by SS3Svc32.exe (exe version 3.6.42.50345) itself trying to re-create at launch every time the scheduler task "SS3svc32Run" (this action requires admin rights). ASUS or MS need to fix this.

In general, trying to run Sonic Studio 3 or Sonic Radar 3 now causes annoying UAC prompt asking for elevation (it's not a case them both launch "SS3Svc32.exe").

issue also mentioned here:

https://www.tenforums.com/windows-10-news/141310-cumulative-update-kb4517211-windows-10-v1903-build-...

this however, does not seem to happen for boards having DTS audio.

I think it can be a new bug in Windows 10 Task Scheduler

I am running Asus ROG STRIX Z370 GAMING (WiFi AC) with Realtek Audio 6.0.1.8382 + Sonic 3.6.34.49403 with the same issue. Seems that something is at odds with MS 18362.387.

Downloaded Asus ROG STRIX Z390-E GAMING Realtek Audio 6.0.1.8666 (installs Sonic 3.14.4.0) and installed after first uninstalling both the original Sonic & Realtek. The new Realtek installs everything in itself and the hidden icons no longer appear. However start link icons can be pinned to the task bar.

Then installed MS KB4517211 (KB4520390 comes too). No more problems - apparently.

Edit: MS have just updated Sonic Studio to version 3.15.2.0. So it seems it's all MS App based now.

Yes this latest software produces a momentary rumble after boot when the MB switches the audio power on for whatever reason.

Even latest version 6.0.8751.1 with Sonic 3.15.0.0 (see post # 14 & 17) does it.

Coming out of sleep causes an audible click.
