Same issue here. G703VI user. It is quite annoying. I had that problem before around 6 months ago and I fixed it with the task scheduler. Now I tried it and I can't delete or change the settings for SS3. I created a new one and now my PC asks TWICE on startup for the program itself and I can't delete the one I created as well!

It appears MS does not like old audio software anymore even with KB4524147. Since Asus appear not to have updated for a while, look on Station-Drivers for Asus related Realtek audio software. I found version 6.0.8751.1 with Sonic 3.15.0.0 works 100% without any more problems.

In addition, by switching to UAD drivers, you will gain Sonic Studio Link which allows to apply the effects of Sonic Studio III on your others audio devices.
Thanks for all your work Moki, but i dont want to change to UAD. I would prefer to stay away from MS store apps as much as possible

Tried AUDIO_Realtek_UAD_ASUS_ROG_SS3-DTS_v6.0.8804.1 which installed same as Realtek HD Audio Driver 6.0.1.8751.1 in my post #14 but MS start icons for Realtek Audio Console & Sonic Studio lll (don't use Radar) never appeared. I reinstalled 6.0.1.8751.1 successfully again so will keep running that one which is better than 6.0.1.8666 referred to in my post #7.

Sorry but I should have mentioned I tried that one first with same end result and in Device Manager the various components in Audio Inputs & Outputs, Software Components and Sound Video & Game Controllers weren't quite the same either.

I didn't follow your suggestions of manually installing Sonic because 6.0.1.8751.1 did that anyway. Nor did I do any cleaning other than uninstalling the Apps first (if they were there) and uninstalling from Uninstall a Program in that order.
