Rampage VI Extreme (non Omega) WHEA Uncorrectable Error after BIOS 2002 update
Pretty much exactly as specified in the title.
Before the 2002 BIOS update I was using BIOS 1704, I updated because I want to upgrade the CPU to a Cascade Lake X refresh CPU when they launch in November. However, upon updating the BIOS to version 2002 and enabling the multi-core enhancement in the BIOS, Windows 10 would report a WHEA Uncorrectable Error a moment after the login screen appeared. The system would then reboot then repeat the process two more times before presenting the usual recovery options.
A little investigating revealed that the problem lay in the multicore enhancement. Disabling this feature results in a successful boot, however I have always had this setting enabled and active in the prior 1704 and earlier BIOS versions.
I'm reporting this just in case there is an issue with the enhancement as implemented in this BIOS revision.
My system which is running Windows 10x64 Pro for Workstations is using the following CPU... I will report if there are further stability issues.

I am using a 1TB Samsung 960 Pro NVME drive in the M.2 slot
I have 32GB of 3200Mhz G.Skill Trident Z RAM running with an XMP profile. The system appears to be fine with the XMP enabled, but Multi-core enhancement disabled.

Select " auto " for the best setting.

I believe in this new bios 'multi-core enhancement' is disabled by default.
ROG RAMPAGE VI EXTREME BIOS 2002
1.Add support for Intel® Core™ X-Series 10000 Processor Family
2.Improve system performance and stability.
3. Change the default setting for ASUS MultiCore Enhancement to disabled.
Before running the USB BIOS Flashback tool, please rename the BIOS file (R6E.CAP) using BIOSRenamer.

Hi,
You don't have cascade lake x yet so why use 2002 bios on a different chip
You have dual bios correct switch to 1705 for now and enjoy.
