Been running 1603 for a very long time with no issues. Both a 7900X at 5GHHz and 9940X at 5GHz with two different Dominator platinum 8x8 kits. 3800 C18 and recently went to the Newer RGB Dominator 3600 C16 thats clocked to 3800 C14. No issues at all. When it comes to BIOS ROMs I will forever be.....If it aint broke then dont fix it. Keep in mind 2002 is the first rendition for Cascade Lake CPUs so ugs are pretty much expected until they take a few stabs to iron it out.

Im happy where Im at, if I upgrade again its gonna be 28 cores and the gigabyte C621

1603 was the best by far for the VI Extreme, I was using it for months with no issue. I flashed to 1702 but like a doughnut never switched to bios 2 to do it. never saved a copy of it like I normally do gutted. But if anybody has a copy of 1603 for the R6E then don't be shy Modded or Asus version

    Hi,
I changed the memory to solve all the problems of freezing with the all bios after 1503.
I followed the advice of Asus Italy and I replaced the F4-3200C16Q-32GTZR (Elpida) with F4-3200C14Q-32GTZR (Samsung) and I passed 1 hour of realbench with 32gb of ram occupied at 3600mhz cl16 with bios 2002, with the old ram I had all the freezes before the 15 minutes at 3200 mhz cl16.
I have read that some users have problems with b-die that I am using now and that for me they are fantastic, I don't understand why you look like a "ram lottery" with the latter BIOS.

It is still incompetent on the part of the support of asus motherboards updates to break compatibility with the memories listed in the list of compatible hardware since the manufacture of this card. Me too my memories became incompatible in xmp mode from bios 1703 and also 1902 and 2002. The rog cards are very expensive but the support gives this unpleasant impression of amateurism. Unless they warn us in the description of the bios

Well I had a reply from G Skill and they are avoiding giving me the full list of timings, they just keep getting me to try different timings and then say the memory controller in the CPU is on its way out and that I need to replace my CPU and this is despite me telling them that I can overclock to 4.66 with the memory @3200 when I use bios 1503 or earlier.

WTF are they going on about!!!
Way to go G Skill, now can you employ some staff that have a clue instead of staff that are trying to blind me with dental floss and insult my intelligence.

Its a dead duck from G Skill so I guess I need to wait for Asus to reply.

    Update
I changed the memory to 140% along with the CPU in the power settings. Memory @3200 CPU @ 3.7 it passed AID64 and Realbench tests but for some reason it did not like me trying to put files in to Nero Recode so I reverted back to 1603.
I will have another tinker over the weekend
