Hi vmanuelgm,

Many thanks for making this firmware available. Apologies but I'm going to ask some naive questions:

Why doesn't Asus make these available? The most recent was from September 2019 and clearly older than this one. It just seems silly we as customers have to find and maintain our own downloads.

Did you get this from https://www.station-drivers.com/ If not, where is a good place to find these, please? Thanks again.

Hi and Happy New Year!!! 🙂

Got the .bin from www.station-drivers.com, I don't know why Asus doesn't have it in its web, and it's the latest and safest version for pre-Cascade Lake-X CPU's. There's also a 11.12.0.1622 which is more oriented to Cascade Lake-X.

Asus should have already uploaded the new updated Bios's (new Microcode for Cascade Lake-X and other optimisations) for boards like original Rampage, APEX, Omega, etc on Dec 31, but not available yet...

Hi vmanuelgm,

Happy New Year to you too 🙂

Thanks for the clarification. I'll update to the pre-Cascade Lake ME version since my SkyLake-X won't benefit from those improvements. Good point about Asus scheduled to release a new BIOS. At the time of writing, they have not yet posted it.

Thank again.

ME firmware 11.11.70.1622 was release for PCH vulnerable to prevent back door attack only.
Cascade Lake SP/X suffer from another vulnerables and now Intel security team also working hard to address those.
Microcode 05000012c was only protected against those vulnerable their were disclosed before but it seem not to be
cover all vulnerables at all. ASUS and many venders may waiting the next revision of Intel microcode before deploying
for their official BIOS.

Asus uploaded the newest MEI version 11.12.0.1622 to its web. Remember this version is more Cascade Lake-X oriented, while 11.11.70.1622 is for previous CPU's.
