Have you tried something else on that router? Wat ISP do you have? Is it cable? Lots of things can drag down your speed that's not related to the connection between your PC and the router. QoS on router can cause issues. I tried that one time and that was the last time. Gave traffic priority to my main desktop and it slowed down everything. If you have something else that is plugged in or even a comparable speed to the router you can run lan speed test to verify operation within the local network. That just transfers a file point to point without going to the internet. If thats all good then its not your local connection but possibly the ISP connection. All the speed in the world wont surpass what the ISP is giving you. Cable has so many variables with a lot of clients on the same cable. Add one neighbor that hogs the traffic and there goes your speed. Bang on the doors and tell them to quit downloading pRon.

There are many reasons why your Internet connection might appear slow. It could be a problem with your modem or router, WiFi signal, signal strength on your cable line, devices on your network saturating your bandwidth, or even a slow DNS server. If your speed test confirms your internet is slow, you should try connecting to multiple websites and using multiple devices in your home if your Internet connection is slow. If the slowness is just with one website, its probably that website's problem is not your internet. If you leave in a rural area, maybe you should change your internet connection to rural broadband satellite internet connection provided by https://usave.co.uk/broadband/rural-broadband/. Anyway, wish you all the best!
