Rampage III Extreme separate raid card

I have a Rampage III Extreme and want to update the hard drives with some 3TB SAS drives I have. I purchased from eBay a Dell Perc H700 card. After a number of attempts to get it working and doing some suggestions with covering pins with tape and the like, have come to the conclusion it was a bad card. That said, I do not want to risk another one. Without getting into the cons of Raid 5, I would like to get a card for this MB that can support Raid 5, SAS, 6 GB/S, hardware raid based and actually work in the MB. Any suggestions?
