Asus apex ix owners , help !

With the apex ix only coming with stereo sound , how did you add 7.1 surround??? My graphics card is a three slot so I need an external sound card but my headphones are USB. Do they make a product that external he provides surround capabilities and I guess the driver for your PC? So you can just plug-in anywhere? Or I guess worst case do they make an external sound card has a USB port I can’t seem to find one ? Thanks for any help !

USB headphones cannot be improved by changing a sound card. They are a discrete audio device separate from your sound card. If you have stereo USB headphones they will always be stereo. If you have simulated surround headphones then you need the right device driver for the headphones. None of that is related to your PC sound card.
