i don't know how to resend mail to confirm my mail address of asus account

Can someone teach me how to resend verification email for my asus account?

I managed to get resent a registration email here: https://account.asus.com/us/resend_mail.aspx

however, i can still not post in certain topics. In the comment box the following info is displayed: 

Sorry, either you cannot reply to this topic or you have not verified your email address by clicking on the verification link in the email we sent you when you registered. If you did not receive an email from us, or need us to resend it, please visit your User Profile page.

When I go to my profile, there is no obvious setting to go into.

Edit: I tried to respond to a locked topic. That was the issue.
