Memory frequancy advice - new build

Hi all been some time since I built a new rig, getting old and forget things :rolleyes:

So built new rig with
ryzen 7 3700x
crosshair v111 hero
vengeance lpx 2 x 8 gb ddr4 3600 mhz

Question is memory frequency is set to default in bios can I just set it to 3600 and all will be running as should.

You can try to set DOCP profile in BIOS..

However 3600 is pushing it for a lot of ryzen memory controlers so you may need to tweak dram voltage and/or soc voltage.

Or try 3200 and tighten timings...check if there are more than one DOCP profile...

What a load of rubbish. I can run DOCP DDR4@4133 on Auto, so care to explain the memory controller issue to me ?
Even Ryzen 2000 series can do 3600, Ryzen 3000 series has much better memory controller.

OP Your ram isn't a great choice ~imo however DOCP 3600 should work, leave everything on auto.
