I have a friend with this laptop and the backlight first started misbehaving, then the keyboard itself became unresponsive, (except for the Power button.)

Other posts online indicate we need a keyboard firmware update however we haven't been able to find the right software for this model, and that posting it is not allowed since using the wrong version screws the keyboard up.

However it has been in to the local service center they refused to consider the firmware as the culprit and instead ordered a replacement keyboard, this did not fix the issue their advice was to get a new motherboard.

Does anyone have a copy the keyboard firmware for this model? We are desperate it has been 3 months that we have been trying to sort this out with Asus South Africa, but they do not care.
