Heres a little taste, Just going to be making a HTPC, Wanted full parts incase I ever add more ya know?
Dont mind all the thermal paste, Had a nice Coupon for 20% off on order for thermalpaste, Thought Id stock up on my favorite atm.
Just waiting on some last parts, such as my 750w CMX v2.0 from Cougar as well as some nice fans for the liquid cooler.
Everything there atm is...
Antec Fusion Remote Max Chassis
I5 2500k
Asetek Liquid cooler
8gb (2x4gb) Kingston Memory, Limited edition 1600mhz
Zotac GTX 460amp! 1gb factory OC'ed
Asus p8p67 pro, May be using a diff asus board no clue yet, Wish I had a ROG One but sadly I dont.
a nice wireless card from asus
And some Antec formula 7 TIM with NANO DIAMONDS WOOOO lol =P But it does work quite nice. Better then any other Ive used to date, including as5 and all the goodness.
maybe by friday I will have all the parts, if not sometime mid next week hopefully.
Wanted a HTPC But Expandability, as well as some headroom to do stuff ya know?
Liquid cooler to makeup for some of the Airloss I will have due to the space it will be in, especially during the summer, and the fans also from Cougar, are going to provide some Great cooling.
I used the Antec Fusion remote max, because for one has a remote, also the other thing, it has a REAR Exaust that fits 120mm that allows me to use my liquid cooler, Probably the only case on the market that does so, That also has a open front, not no Cover that I have to pull down to access the DVD Drive, Ect. I just simply dont want that hassle, Also I just love the look of it in general, and all the features it has as well.
I went with the i5 2500k just because of course I may want to do a little gaming on it, as well as just a nice processor to last Years to come.
Im just going to use a Basic HDD 1tb 7200rpm most likely, I dont care for a SSD much since Load times dont really matter to me since I dont play any games such that requires it.
My gtx 4601gb amp! from zotac has brought me a good few years Ive used it for gaming and know it should be enough for a powerful HTPC/Gaming rig Not once have I had a problem with it tbh.
The memory I got via a contest during CES they had going on and I was lucky to win it, and just in general some nice memory from kingston.
As for the Mobo, Its just a solid motherboard in general, and since I dont plan to do too much, but if I want I could, this gives me what I need to do so, and had it from my current rig that I upgraded to z68, so its going to just be dandy as a HTPC.
And of course, Everything in my house is running wireless besides my computer right at the router, so Gotta have me a wireless card
😃I also have the perfect spot for it, wich I will post sometime later as well when I get the chance to take a pic.
