Hello everyone,
First off I'm sure this is an old question so I apologize for the repeat and thankful for any help.
The Question-
I purchased a ROG G752 (possibly VL but not sure) a few years ago and it is just now starting to max out its storage. So I am looking to upgrade and being only slightly computer savvy I could use some help before dropping a few hundred bucks on tech. Currently, I am debating between the Samsung 860 evo 2TB or the 970 evo plus 2TB. I'm looking for more storage, faster boot times, and faster read/write times (obviously). I have been reading about some issues with each of these due to the SATA settings not functioning with RAID and needing to be switched to AHCI but the process looks fairly simple (although I say that now with serious dread).
So I was wondering if there are any hangups or complications I should be aware of or any suggestions anyone may have for me. I may just purchase both and do a complete upgrade if that's possible since I love this machine it just needs a small facelift.
Looking at these two:

Thank you in advance for any assistance and advice
