Hi,
I have Asus X200MA netbook. I noticed that when I start my netbook (at the moment there's no HDD, it just boots to BIOS) the exhaust fan attached to the motherboard does not spin.

I want to know if this is by design or some fault with the fan. The fan seems to have 4 pins to it which could mean it might be temperature controlled.
Since there's no load on CPU it does not seem to get that hotter right now.

Is it by design that the exhaust fan will only run when the system temperature crosses some value or is it supposed to run always?
