i9 9900 ks + Asus Z-370 X-Hero Wifi Over clock Results ! :D

i have found a good chip ! think i will keep it

note : this is on air cooling thermalright true black 120 ( 2 x 120mm push pull ) 11 years old from my core 2 duo days
note : not delided

8 hrs asus real bench stress test stable
8 hrs prime 95 29.6 small ffts ( non avx ) stable
8 hrs prime 95 29.6 blend with 90 % ram stable
hci mem test stable 1000 %

-asus x hero z-370 wifi
-load line level 6
-all limits maxed
- v core bios = 1.23
-avx offset = 0
-all core 5 ghz
-cache 4.7 ghz
-ram @ 4000 mhz cl-17

- max temp in battlefield 5 no fps lock cpu some times getting up to 100 % it doesnt go above 70 c ( peak ) avg is 50/60
- i have a 360mm aio un opned here im waiting on fans for
not bad for air cooling @ 11 years old and not delided

1.22v passed all tests like prime 95 small ffts/ real bench / cinbench but threw whea error from bf5 .
1.23 v passes everything

should i buy a z-390 16 phase baord like the asus apex z390 and sell my x hero z370 ?
for this cpu or should i just stay @ 5.0 and maybe do 5.1 and save 500$ ?

i mean having the 9900ks 5 ghz avx=0 @ 1.23 v with ddr4 ram @ 4000 mhz and temps in the 50/60s and prime does not go above 82 c peak i can stay on this 12 year old cooler ! i have weanted to throw it out but she just is there when i need her lol true black is a good heat sync with 2 x 120 on it

That´s ironic, isn´t it?

For more than 5,0 GHz an aio cooler like the new version of arctic liquid freezer + augmented VRM cooling would bee a better choice imho.

But: Power consumption would go far above sweet spot, performace/Watt would worsen too much if you go futher with oc.
