Hello (excuse me for my poor english,i'm french) The first PCie is blocked by a Noctua NH-D15, so Noctua suggest to put a GTX 1080 Ti in the second PCIe slot. In this case, Is Formula give 0x/16x/4x or 0x/8x/4x. In other words, is the second slot alway wired in 8x or 16x ? Thanks
Thanks Page 1-8, i don't see the case : none on first. In PCIe 4.0, even if graphic card is gen 3, 8x has a level x16 bandwith gen 3. So my card gen3 on 8x gen4 is maybe on port 16x gen 3 ?
Top applies to your system since running a 3000 series CPU. Yes it will be GEN 3.0 because that is your graphics card (2080ti). Even if x8 x PCIE Gen 3.0 the 2080ti is not enough by itself to soak the bandwidth. Skipping to next PCIE (*may not even) fairly sure it does not effect x16, but if it does, it really does not matter.
