Maybe xmp breaks something... I don’t know, I always use manual settings, forget xmp. Encore even boots 4400Mhz no problem on 9980XE. *I guess Omega is not much different. I have 4800 CL18 modules run at 3600 CL13 daily and 4000 CL12 for benching. Board is no problem. Io and rtl auto no problem. With initial they got approximately -1 tighter. Also on early Apex Board on this platform rtl manual tuning was never possible.

OK so after trying several set of ram from the QVL list and not getting any of them to work with the stated XMP profile i went a different route. the gskill ram on the asus qvl list was not on the gskill qvl list for this board, and vise versa none of the gskill ram on there qvl list for the encore is on the asus qvl list. I decide to get some of the 3733MHz ram with the 17-17-17-37 timings from the gskill website that has the encore on the qvl list, and sure as heck it booted the first time from the xmp profile. So for others with xmp issues, i would suggest trying ram from the memory manufacturer qvl list that has the encore on the list. But like i said all kits i tried from the asus qvl list for the encore cause boot failures or having to run way below the rated speeds to boot, the first kit i got from the memory manufacturer that has the encore board on the qvl list booted first time on XMP at 3733MHz. In fact there is no 3733MHz ram on the asus QVL list from any manufacturer but Gskill has several different 3733MHz kits on there QVL list for the encore board.

Sometimes problems have simple solutions. For me, in bios 0504 it was the same. I'm using G.Skill 3200 CAS14 and downgrade bios to version 0401 solved the problem. For me, 0504 sucks.
Test this simple solution is not much work.

I'm using the 0504 bios on mine, but i had the same issues with the 0401 bios as well.

Seems your cpu is the limit, doesn't like high frequencies. 3800 is a good frequency paired with low timings to match quad channel with Intel Enthusiast CPU's.

Yes it is, now i have been able to get my Gskill 4266 ram with timings of 17-18-18-38 to run at 4200 stable on this encore motherboard with timings of 17-17-17-37 and 1.46v This with an i9-10940X at 5GHz

Looks like the new 0505 bios release for the encore board has fixed the xmp profiles issue, i can now set to XMP and boots right up at 4266MHz. Hurray !!!

Hello everyone. I'm going to revive this conversation a little. I'm able to get 4000mhz running at 17-17-17-37 gsat stable and hci memtest stable. I'm also able to get the raja@asus 4000mhz profile stable as well which is tight tertiary and secondary timings wise but his profile sets 17-18-18-38 I've learned how to get the rtls to lock to make this possible utilizing the rtl init setting under rtl settings. I have the rampage extreme vi board. I can not for the life of me however figure out how to get this mb to let me manually set the rtl settings and it's driving me nuts. I know what it likes rtl wise from extensive testing and like I said I have it stable but in a round about way. raja@asus is there a certain way to get this mb to let me set them manually?
