Before running the USB BIOS Flashback tool, please rename the BIOS file (M11H.CAP) using BIOSRenamer.

I just updated my Rog Maximus XI Gene to Bios 1401, seems to be the same bios.

No problem to boot from xmp profile. Now i have my tweaked Ram settings without any problems.

You're thinking about ZombieLoad Attacks, etc.

Background cpu use higher package temp etc. I know nothing more than what is in the note above. But TechPowerUp.com and others have reported. ASUS is working closely with Intel to provide a solution in an upcoming BIOS update.
I just updated the bios file. There was a new Intel Management Engine Interface recently for Windows, but if the bios code has been changed to handle this I don't know. Or if it comes later. But you can probably assume that.
