Thoughts on Maximus z390 1401 Bios

I havent tried overclocking yet, and my G.Skill TridentZ 3200MHz works just fine.. tho I did notice a weird issue with my EVGA 280 CLC AIO. Today trying to boot i got a CPU fan Error. I had to move one of the AIO fans to the fan header to resolve it. Nothing has changed sense I finished building this PC in OCT. Found it strange that now all of a sudden I had an issue. So far so good besides that.

I have the same mobo, Maximus XI Extreme and am able to use BIOS Flashback USB port to go to any previous BIOS version. I haven't tried that within the BIOS using ez BIOS flashing utility, though.

So far all works much the same as 1302 BIOS. But i have yet to take the system to higher OC settings apart from using XMP I @ 3600MHz and an OC of 4.9GHz at vcore 1.2v vccio 1.15v vcsa 1.1v AVX -3

I can use any USB port to flash to older or newer versions. I've never been forced just to use our BIOS Flashback USB port. My APEX XI finds whatever usb port I use automatically

I would like more information on using the dual bios chips on this Apex XI , have not found much information on the correct way to switch bios settings. There is even suppose to be a led light on this motherboard, that tells you which bios your on, which I can't find or see. Any info on switching bios versions on this motherboard will be appreciated

With Bios 1302 I have Tjmax set to 115 C, but with 1401 Bios I cannot select a value lower than 120 C, only higher. 120 C feels unnecessarily high. In case AIO cooler pump fail, happened to me with a previous system.

I use i9-9900KF. I see in the release note that Tjmax changes have been made for the i9-9900KS. I am now using 1302 again.

Did you clear cmos after flashing?

I am on 5.0 1.32volts. 1.15 on the vccio and vccia. -3 on avx and other small stuff changes on the CPU PowerManagement and LLC 6.

aside of all attemps to use the flash bottom on the board, i try all my usb devices to make it and in the end i use the normal way
