Rog Gladius II wireless RF broken firmware

EDIT : I have fixed it, its kinda hacky but it saves the mouse from RMA. check my second post bellow.

I have Rog Gladius II wireless mouse. Win10.

So, today, when my mouse has recharged, I decided to plug it into computer to update. Well, that was the worst decision I have made today.
Mouse firmware and ROG Armoury updated, but RF Dongle firmware failed. Sadly, I didn't screenshot that. Then I tried to connect mouse using RF wirelesss and there was no movement. Mouse works fine, but it wont connect to PC because dongle is ****ed up.

So I read posts and tried to update to older firmware. I opened ROG Armoury, turned off mouse, pressed left mouse button, middle mouse button and right mouse button. I held them while I was connecting cable to PC. It started flashing blue light and started installing firmware. It was version 2.25.29. Sadly, it didnt work, I got this message:

    https://prnt.sc/qaxfzj

I was sometimes able to see all firmware versions, it was showing this:

    https://prnt.sc/qaxfzg

Lastly, if I tried to update, same thing happend, error -9 for the dongle(i assume) , but it doesnt say that it will update RF also

    https://prnt.sc/qaxfza

I am not the only one to have this issue, :
    https://www.reddit.com/r/ASUS/commen...ouse_firmware/

I hope this will help to fix the issue, otherwise I will have to RMA/ refund. If this is quality and pricey mouse I dont want to have this kind of problems, Shame, there is no QA? How could you bring a update that breaks things...
This ASUS Softwere really sucks, I am really pissed off and dissapointed.

    Same problem

I have the exact same problem. Wireless RF worked fine before installing the Armoury app and updating the software and firmware. Upon updating, the wireless RF is broken. When I plug in the dongle, the Windows 10 sees it in devices, but somehow the firmware update has broken the signal from the dongle to the mouse and the cursor is not moving at all when I move the mouse (switch button underneath the mouse is moved to RF). I really hope the guys from Asus come with a fix for the broken firmware update.

PS: Why is it that Gladius II Wireless is not seen in the new app Armoury Crate (Beta)? My Strix Fusion 700 Headset is seen in both the Armoury Crate and Armoury II apps.

I messed with it for few hours when i got it working...

Hey, yes I did. Heres what I did: I downloaded Armoury ii version ROG_Armoury_v30016 but I think version doesn't matter. Now I went to app files.

    C:\Program Files (x86)\ASUS\ROG Armoury\Mouse\ROG Gladius II WIRELESS\Upgrade_Gladius_II_Wireless

there you can find all updates in Dongle dir. I made new dg.bat file with no shadow to figure whats happening. there i was seeing lots of unsucessfull updates, when I run it. You don´t need to do that. So...

    This is what I did:
I tried to run P702_DG_FWUpdateTool.exe I had my mouse plugged in via usb but turned off. I tried to update it, but it wasn't recognizing, after pressing Update Dongle nothing was happening. but I pressed it more, maybe I tried to unplug dongle and try it again, when suddenly it started updating. (i believe it stopped halfway, but not sure. ) It was also showing some names of the hardware. Since then my mouse is working.

https://prnt.sc/qpxrj1 this is how its looked.
I believe that I had to press that button to recognize it or i replugged dongle while it was open. Try various combinations, but it should work. I think if it says 0.0.0.0 in that window, then you can update and will start to work. Also my rog app is still installed but i make sure to not to update . this is how it looks(notice the STARTUP name , but it works, no need to RMA, yet).
    see rog: https://prnt.sc/qpxtz8

Hope it will work for you too. I dont remember what I exactly did, but it was trial and error. Also the update is only on dongle, so mosue doesnt need to be plugged if not needed . let me know how it goes . Cheers!

    Possibly solution

I have same issue installing firmware of version 2.36.40. May be somebody will find my solution helpful. But be careful it is UNOFFICIAL one. ALL ACTIONS YOU DO ON OWN RISK and I am not responsible for your broken devices.

If your firmware is older (less) than 02.24.28 update it using Armoury Crate application first. And if radio still does not work follow the next steps:
    1. Download and extract GladiusII_Wireless_MS_022428 (it is modified version of official tool, but it can flash previously versions of firmware)]
    2. Turn off both mouse bluetooth and radio (switch toggle to "off" position)
    3. Connect your mouse via USB and plug in radio adapter.
    4. Run extracted GladiusII_Wireless_MS_022428 tool and flash old firmware. (DO NOT run this application with -S parameter)
    5. Disconnect USB (leave radio adapter plugged in), turn on radio on your mouse, and check if one works.

      If radio does not work:

    6. Repeat steps 2 and 3.
    7. Update mouse firmware using Armoury Crate application.
    8. Repeat step 5.

      If still does not work:

    9. Sync all your devices in Armoury Crate application.

It helped me to solve the problem of broken radio on mouse after firmware update. Hope it will help with your problem too.
