    G74sx Purchase Advice

    Hi All,

I am planning to purchase a G74sx and am wondering if I should get the DH73 3D or DH72. I want the highest quality screen I can get, which leads me to believe I should get the 73 and then just upgrade the ram and the Hard Drives at a later date. Is this flawed thinking? Should I go with the DH72? I have never bought a High End gaming laptop and need some advice!

    Thanks

    Hi, Jokim.

Both are good choices, in my opinion. (For as long as the hardware is, well, trouble-free out-of-the-box.)
For the screen, the 3D version comes with matte-screen (I love it!). I think the DH72 has the glossy screen.
The DH73 also has a standard BD-ROM, while the DH72 normally has the DVD-ROM.
Other specs are relatively the same..

    Welcome to the Forum.

Is that the only difference between the AH71 and 72? Is the screen the same?

If you want to GAME then the G74 IS NOT FOR YOU. There is NO NUMPAD . Many games need those extra 15-20 to play (FSX and ARMA/2 for me).

You will hate not having a num lock. The BIOS updates fixed NOTHING, you are still missing tons of keys for games.
