Hi there,
I'm experiencing a very strange problem with my mainboard and onboard USB ports called USB1112 and USB15 in the manual.

If I connect a Corsair Commander Pro to USB1112, it works fine.
If I connect the 2 USB 3.0 front panel ports (using and adapter) to USB1112, they work fine.
If i connect the CoPro to USB15, iCue only detects the CoPro but does not detect the AIO and the PSU (connected via USB to the CoPro).
If I connect the front panel ports to USB15, only 1 port out of 2 works.

I had to buy a NZXT USB hub to solve the problem, but I had to connect it to USB1112; if connected to USB15, it does not work.

I searched the mobo manual and found (page 17) this hint:
"1xUSB 2.0 port (USB15) at mid-board shares with ROG extension (ROG_EXT) port".

It seems a poor explanation to me... what does USB15 and ROG_EXT port share? I don't have nothing plugged into ROG_EXT port, so why only 1 front panel USB port works? Or this header can only support 1 single USB port?

I'd prefer to usee both headers in their full functionality and get rid of the NZXT hub as the case has narrow spaces and the hub is quite big and carries other 2 cables to fit in the case.

Any idea?

But I can't understand what you mean with "power only"...
Can you explain it like I was 4 years old?

Ok, maybe I got the point.. Asus states that this motherboard has only 3 USB 2.0 ports onboard (and that is really a ridicolous thing). What USB15 and ROG_EXT headers share is half of USB pins, as the ROG OC Panel has a connector that fits in both headers.
So, that's the reason why only 1 front USB port out of 2 works. And probably for the same reason the CoPro does not detect the AIO and PSU connected to it, as only 1 USB port probably does not deliver enough power for all the 3 items.

Congratulations to Asus for this… I've been a stupid to just watch the mobo's photo and not to read the manual carefully, but Asus should explain why sacrifices a useful USB header to support a stuff like ROG OC Panel which is something one would rarely buy.

I can confirm that USB15 can fully handle also an USB pendrive. I tried and works perfectly.
