Been thinking on this one myself,
I’m running the i9-7980xe and in a quandary about upgrading to the i9-10980xe ?
Is it realy worth the £1027 upgrade cost as I can get 5ghz out of the 7980xe, might just wait for the next iteration of cpu/mobo before doing a final upgrade.

I was asking myself the same question as you, and I was advised to keep the 7980XE (same as the 10980XE, roughly) and to wait for a possible future CPU
