Need Cooling Advice for Rebuild

I am going to be rebuilding my system with a i7-2700K and a Maximus mobo. But I am up in the air about a cooling solution. I am thinking about 2 options. The links to them on Newegg is below.

Option 1) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835181017
Option 2) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835709004
Option 3) Any others that are strongly recommended.

Any thoughts on which I should go with or maybe any other recommendations. I am looking at using the system for overclocking, gaming, and even a little audio/video editing. I am not wanting to pay anymore that $110 or so for the cooling solution.

Any advice or help would be appreciative.

Edit:

Cooling solutions as mentioned in the forum.

2. PhanteksPH-TC14PE
3. Noctua NH-D14

I have the H100 does a fantastic job. Allows for a pretty good overclock too. It depends on how you mount this thing to get the most out of it. But it's still a very good CPU cooler.

Agree with Inner.......

H 100 does a great job.....

motorcycles> water cooled ( well most of them)
Cars> Water cooled (well most of them)
Nuclear powerplants> aircooled??

This is the advatntages as i see it>

You get the warm air, out from the case..
Attack the heat peaks very fast
Minimum stress on the mainboard..
Easy to mount
Maintenance free (change paste every 6 month maybe)
Looking good
Keeps cpu cool, even under normal OC conditions
Silent (depending on fans)
Somewhat cheap

I know there is going to be a discussion regarding this now...

Ok the impeller wears out, but honestly. Are you going to have the same cooler in 10 years from now?

My vote goes to> Corsair Hydro series.. i miss a upgraded version of the H 100

Unless you dont want to build a entire watercooling system..

with fan like this beat the H100

MM, and a tank beats that...

H 100 does a great job up to atleast 5,1 ghz (3930K) push/pull... And that cpu produce a lot of heat..

I run my i7-3960X at 6.0 ghz with my D14 and my temps are under 60'C lol, ( please don't believe this )

show me some OCCT screen so I can see the temps. and please add me some CPU-Z validation , I don't believe you have great temps with a H 100 on a 2011 CPU at 5,1 ....sorry I know enough to not beleive everything peoples throw on the web. to see is too believe , usally it' the concensus on every forums , you talk about your OC , you show it.

Idle 30c.. max 85c at 5,1 ghz.. / H 100
idle 30c .....max 70-80c 5,3 ghz > i5 2500k / H 60

I dont force you in to believe it, but that is my temps..

If you only use the stock solutions that comes with the Corsairs, you probably wont get these temps.. But who is saying that Corsair have optimized the gear, isnt it our job , and in our interest.. and part of the fun

Oh God look at what an eyesore that is.

Sorry I'm a minimalistic kind of guy and I like my computer as clean and eye pleasing as possible that way you can get more air flow in the case and not have a hunking piece of metal and plastic like that get in the way.

Sorry the above pic vs this?

I'll take my H100 thx.

I would be okay with building a water cooling system from scratch but don't want to spend a fortune doing it as I am sadly on short budget. I think that if I am going to build a water cooling solution from scratch, then I may be able to go upto a $150 price tag. Any suggestions on parts?

So far the H100 is taking the cake. Any others want to chime in?
