I really should do update on my build thread. Ehm I didn't see the point on going ROG since I am waiting also for the new X670 motherboards. Hopefully they can get rid of the chipset fan and introduce the new USB standard as well. So for now I picked up the cheap and well regarded MSI Tomahawk Max.

Hopefully ROG Crosshair IX will be a great board as I am anticipating my return to the ROG.

Sound right for (nine) zerofive to have Crosshair 9 with Ryzen 9 haha

P.S. I started to think of my build, 8 Cores 8 Threads when there's is 16 core/32 thread CPU's out there, just didn't made sense for longevity and since I invested in my ram I am sure I'm staying on DDR4 and skipping DDR5. Maybe 3950x is not quite there yet, but if all the rumors are true, then the Zen 3 4950X should be my chip for next several years.

Not sure what I will move too and how soon I move there. I guess it depends on this RMA. I just want quality. It's overkill but a HEDT platform might be fine and last me a while provided the hardware does.

Good debate though. Intel or AMD??????

I am happy to report that it said they made repairs to my board and the board will be coming back to me on Tuesday the 4th. If it comes back working and ready to rock this process has been a very good one. This would be about 10 days including shipping from when I sent the board to them. Crosses fingers it's fixed and never has to see them again

I will report back on Tuesday the 4th after I reinstall everything.

Providing an update to this situation. ASUS did an awesome job receiving, diagnosing, fixing and returning my MB. Kudo's to them on this one. It's working well so far and I am very happy..
