Seeking QVL Memory Advice

Hey folks,

I purchased an ASUS TUF x570 Gaming Plus (Wifi), an AMD Ryzen 3900X and some G.Skill Trident Z Neo DDR4. Looking into the QVL I'm struggling to understand if they are compatible or not.

There are three QVL documents listed:

My memory (F4-3600C16D-32GTZNC) is listed in the 3rd gen processor document but not listed in the broader motherboard QVL.

Is my memory compatible with my MB+CPU or not?

Thanks in advance

hello, and sorry in advance for punctuation. Looking up your Mobo it states,
3rd Gen AMD Ryzen™ Processors
4 x DIMM, Max. 128GB, DDR4 4400(O.C)/3466(O.C.)/3400(O.C.)/3200(O.C.)/3000(O.C.)/2933(O.C.)/2800(O.C.)/2666/2400/2133 MHz Un-buffered Memory.

the memory you have selected is,
Trident Z Neo
DDR4-3600MHz CL16-19-19-39 1.35V
32GB (2x16GB)..

I can't say I've personally ever looked at QVL recommendation for a motherboard and had an issue with memory. as long as the pin count has been the same... voltage requirements are met, it should operate as needed/wanted. Both specification sheets state they are for the x570 platform, ryzen 3000 series. safe bet your memory kit is 👌

Thanks for your reply, that's super helpful.
Regarding:
DDR4 4400(O.C)/3466(O.C.)/3400(O.C.)/3200(O.C.)/3000(O.C.)/2933(O.C.)/2800(O.C.)/2666/2400/2133 MHz Un-buffered Memory.

As you state, my memory is rated for 3600MHz which isn't in that list.
I'm not one for overclocking, assuming I want to run in DOCP/XMP would this be a concern?

the 2nd series being top rated to 3600, and new being 4400 I would say it's safe to assume Bios will display your xmp profile for the rated 3600mhz.
