Fan noise asus strix 2080 TI second replacement?
Somebody please help me. I have the asus strix 2080 ti. and i have a weird noise crackling/buzzing noise when i ramp up the speed of the fans the sounds goes immediatly after literally 1 second. it doesnt bother me at all just the fear of having something wrong. I sent the card back to newegg and they sent me a brand new card. for straight 2 days didn't have any noise. and now after the third day it's doing the same noise only on ramp ups or certain speed. again the sound doesnt bother me it's just the fear of having something wrong. if there's nothing wrong im keeping the card. or if it doesnt hurt anything.

It is quite common, if we talking rattling noise from the middle fan round 75%.
I removed the fans and mounted insulated material behind the fan motor which many recommend. Rattling came a little higher rpm. I do not know if it is because of counter-rotating fans or if it is pwm noise that comes at a high speed with small fans.
I started using "Temperature hysteresis" 6 degrees in Msi Afterburner so the speed of the fans should be more constant. My rattling noise now starts at 87% which I never reach during gaming.Last edited by hortons71; 02-12-2020 at 03:29 PM.

I don't know, many on the web who use custom fan curve comment it. Those who run the default fan curve may never realize the problem as they rarely reach 75%

I do not think that is normal. I have 2 of these GPUs and neither make that noise anywhere in the range. At 70% and higher they vibrate a tiny bit and make some noicse but no where near the vid clip.
