Zenith II Exterme - 10GB Ethernet Problem

PMokover
Level 7
I have a recent PC build using a Zenith II Extreme motherboard.

My router/switch has been connected to the 1Gb Ethernet connector on the motherboard which is working OK. I wanted to check the 10Gb Ethernet connector to make sure it’s working too. (I will be getting a 10Gb switch soon.)

I took the ethernet cable out of the 1Gb port and plugged it into the 10Gb port. No sign of any problem until I opened my browser and tried to connect to a website. That’s when I got a BSOD with a message saying: “Your PC ran into a problem and needs to restart. Just collecting some error info and then we’ll restart for you.”

It restarted and the above happened again. I moved the ethernet cable back to the 1Gb port and all is back to normal.

As best I can tell I have the latest driver (v2.1.18.0) for the Aquantia AQC107 10Gb adapter in the Zenith II Exterme.

Any clues and suggestions appreciated!
