Overclocking a Rampage IV Extreme with a 3820

Well I am not Team Russia (they extremely overclocked this chip/mobo combo) and I do not have nitrogen. I do however have a Corsair H80. What would be a moderate stable overclock for the cooling capability I have with a Corsair H80?

My system consists of the following;

Thermaltake Level 10 GT Case
Thermaltake 1050 Grand PSU
Asus Rampage IV Extreme Mobo
Intel LGA 2011 i7 3820 3.6Ghz CPU
Corsair H80 CPU Liquid Cooler
(4) Corsair 4Gb 1600Mhz Memory Modules [16Gb Quad Channel]
Aerocool Touch 2000 Fan Controller
Samsung 128GB SSD 6GB/Sec SATA Drive
Radeon HD 7770 GPU (Eyefinity 3 wide on 20" LED Acer Monitors)
LG 24x DVD/RW Drive
Logitech G15 Gaming Keyboard
Saitek X52 Pro Combat Joystick
Windows 7 Pro 64-Bit

Thanks

It depends on what you like is it for just a benchmark or do you want the fastest setting for 24/7.

Because it's always playing with settings for example the Vcore ect ect, the most you can leave on AUTO
but that 1 you have to adjust no matter what (and for your CPU with that setting you need a pretty high
Vcore voltage)
l Asus Rampage 4 Extreme l intel 3930X@ 4800Mhz (1.45volt) 24/7 l Asus matrix GTX 580 l
16GB Team Xtreem DDR3 PC3-20800 2600MHz (11-11-11-28-1)
l Coolermaster Silentpro 1000w PSU l Revodrive3 ssd l WD Raptor 150Gb (10000rpm) l Corsair H100 wc with 4 Cougar Vortex fans l CM HAF 932 Avanced case l Acer X243H 24'' l Asus RT N66U Dark Knight l Logitech Z2300 speakers

4.3 is still pretty good! Try nudging the base clock up a bit. What voltages are applied?

Im unsure why this post went to the top of the thread??? Anyhow, this will be a 24/7 OC setting for gaming. I think the VCore was around 1.4 when i was at 4.3Ghz but I am having trouble remembering. I need to write that stuff down more often. I am back to the default bios settings at the moment. I had no luck finding a sweet spot higher than the 4.3Ghz (100.1 x 43), in my search I had to revert back to default using ROG Key due to being unable to boot. I am putting bios (v1005 i think it is) on a thumb drive today in case I have this problem again during my future overclock attempts. I think 4.3Ghz is going to be all i can do with my current cooling capabilities but im not giving up just yet. Would my Video cards OC settings have any effect on my CPU OC success rate? I reached my upload limit for attachments too 😞 How do i delete my attchments so I can upload different ones? Thanks for the replies. Im all ears if anyone has advice.

by the way... whats with the website not loading for me 9 out of 10 trys? when it works it works, but when it does not work its relentless error message after error message. I would post much more if it was not for the errors when trying to access any page on the site.
