ROG Crosshair VIII Formula - Aquantia AQC111C 5G LAN Troubles

Connection troubles using the Aquantia AQC111C 5G LAN.

When gaming Metro Exodus, and other Steam applications keep randomly crashing when internet is connected via the Aquantia AQC111C 5G LAN.
Explorer, Chrome and Firefox having random connection fails, packet errors etc.

Using Wifi or Intel connection works fine.

I`ve tried:
Bios update to 1201
Clean Win10 install
Driver updates (Also latest via Marvell)
Disabled other network connections etc.
Changed router from AX3200 to a RT-AX88U

Troubles seems to have worsen since the latest Win10 update.

Can anyone confirm these problems?
Anyone have a solution?

Anyone any info, or am I the only one having trouble with the 5G port?

I've never gotten mine to work properly. It has always been very slow compared to the intel NIC, and the connection is inconsistent. I tried downloading the newer driver, but when I go to unzip the file Windows tells me that the folder is empty.

I didn't try to update Aquantia firmware as I don't have aby issue, but it may be worth for you to give a try...

Having problems with this driver from the Crosshair VIII Formula page. It will download but the file is empty, apparently. I have shot a message and email to both Marvell and Asus about it.

There is a driver at this website if you enter the model number, but it appears to be an older version. Since I only bought this motherboard very recently, and it apparently had no driver installed I have installed it.

Could be hosting issue but I was able to download it without problem from USA and AU site. Maybe install WinRAR and see if you can unpack it.

Did the firmware and driver update.
Some improvement, but still troublesome compaired to the Intel nic.
Steam related trouble is still there

For Steam downloads might help to manually set your location.
Settings -> Downloads -> Download Region - Select the closest location to yourself.
