Hiya,

I recently acquired an ASUS ROG Maximus XI Gene and noticed there's a Node connector on the side of the board.. It looks similar, if not identical to the one found on the Rampage Encore board, which allows you to use it's included Fan Extension Card II. I was therefore wondering would it be possible to make it work?



I have tried to plugging in a spare Fan Extension Card II board from an Encore but none of software or utilities for the Maximus XI Gene recognise it. Any fans plugged into this expansion board seem to run at a minimum speed... What am I missing?
