Well, i've got my XG279Q after a loooooooooooooooooooooonnnnnnnnggggggg waiting time and i am crushed because i am experiencing temporary burn-in / image retention...

Do i have a broken panel?

IPS does have image retention concerns but modern versions tend to be better. How long did you have it displaying a static image?

I need to watch at least a 20min video in full screen to get rid of it....also game UIs are getting "burned-in". 😕

I was just watching youtube like i usually do...not in fullscreen...just "zapping" through the channels...1hour maybe...but as i said, even UIs are gettings burned in...even tho it is not always displayed on the screen (map view = no UI).

I don't have that display but your problem looks on par with my old plasma TV, which is not a good benchmark. Personally, I think I would return it. Regardless if that is "normal" for this panel if it's annoying you then you shouldn't have to put up with it.
