Is my Z-97 A bad?

Greetings,

I have an Asus Z97A motherboard and I'm trying to ascertain if it's the cause of my GPU issues.

Over the past five years or so I've had three graphics cards die while plugged in to this motherboard. 2 x EVGA 980ti's and, most recently, an ASUS 1660ti. After the most recent I've been unable to get any of my backup cards to behave properly. To be precise: when the GPU fans spin up the system crashes. Not EVERY time but often enough to be consistent. At this point I fear to install the 1660's replacement.

- The OS is as up to date as it's going to get (Win7 64-bit)
- The drivers for all cards were installed only AFTER the previous drivers and control software were completely uninstalled.
- I've replaced and upgraded the Power Supply twice and am, at this point, fairly certain that it was never the issue.

So right now I'm thinking that I've had either a remarkable streak of bad luck with graphics cards or the motherboard is flawed.

Are there utilities to test motherboard?
What other steps can I perform?

Did you that new graphics card is supported by motherboard. Is asus provided new bios firmware graphics card. Did you flashed a new latest vram bios firmware to new graphics card.
Use only windows 10 64bit.
Raad the motherboard model manual for troubleshooting tips. If possible update the latest bios firmware and vram bios.

To analysis crash I need memory dump files.

I don't understand most of that, I'm afraid. (I'm a carpenter by trade.)
The motherboard is an Asus z97a.
The graphics cards have all been standard PCIe cards.
The most recent was an Asus GeForce GTX 1660 Super Overclocked 6GB Dual-Fan Evo Edition. I just assumed it was compatible.
As for flashing bios... I have no idea how to do that. And I'm just not psychologically ready to upgrade to win 10. I'll do it if I have to but I'm not convinced that's the problem. Some of my backup cards are fairly old (Radeon 7870 and a Nvidia 760gtx for instance) and all of them are behaving the same way.

The Reliability Tool says there are 3 relevant files from the most recent incident.
