Hi guys,
I own an Asus G752VS laptop with GeForce GTX1070 graphics card.
I recently changed the built-in optical DVD-only drive for a slim Blu-ray drive, because I have a Samsung 3D SmartTV and 3D Blu-rays but no player, I wanted to watch some of them.
That's when I realized Nvidia dropped 3D Vision driver a couple versions ago.
So I attempted to revert back to the last GeForce driver that includes 3D Vision support, which is 425.31.
That's when I realized the image over HDMI became absolutely horrible: greenish dots all over the place, constant disconnection.
When I lower the refresh rate and resolution, the display is somewhat better and more stable, I have much less green dots but they're still here.
On another TV, I have no image at all.
I switched back to the most recent drivers, but still the same issue.
On the other hand, image over DisplayPort is perfect (including 3D), and also works using a thunderbolt hub with HDMI port.
The HDMI cable itself is not defective, since the connection to another laptop is flawless.
I'm scratching my head over this issue, I just can't figure out what's wrong with the HDMI connection.
Does anyone have a clue?
