Trying to change splash screen on model GL12CX

So was trying to do the simple task of changing the splash screen on my new computer. Is an ROG-Strix-GL12 motherboard version GL12CX-B7.
In the entire history of working with computers this has always been a simple issue of using a bios utility. The ASUS site makes it almost impossible to even find the driver updates for this model (which I did find but they do not install when launched which is a whole other can of worms for later). After a month of waiting on a response from tech support in which they "escalated" the question for some reason and put me on auto ignore for a month until I emailed back I got the response that the bios utility for every other motherboard on the site does not work on these mother boards and that the splash screen can not be updated.

Has anyone found a workaround to this nonsense already? As is ridclous that a $1300 dollar machine can't do a simple customize task that every other computer since the days of Windows 3.11 has been able to do easily. As would really like to do this without having to manually go into the code. Thanks for any advise.
