Weird flex but ok. This statement makes zero sense. Especially without telling your ambient temps

I have a little bit similar problem with my a month old RTX ROG Strix 2070 Super. Regardless of the BIOS switch position performance/quiet BIOS keeps controlling fan speed. Especially left/right fan speed is always zero when I boot my PC even though I have manually set the speed in ASUS GPU Tweak II. I can fix this by opening asus Tweak and setting it back to value I want that's not the problem. BUT the problem is the coil whine when fans start spinning. It's like a frog croaking. This happens only 1 sec or less when fan starts spinning. This croaking will continue if I don't manually go and set fan speed for example 30% in ASUS Tweak. It will continue as long as BIOS will decide GPU is warm enough and fans need to be on all the time. So there are 2 problems. BIOS doesn't let ASUS Tweak to control Left/right fan speed or any other SW (I have tried) and coil whine when fans start spinning.

If you read the whole thread you would understand what im talking about. I was making a point that i dont let my card get hot. So many people choose to leave the fans at stock which is there choice. I was simply saying your hardware will last longer if you keep lower temps. So before just jumping in out of nowhere make sure you know what your are talking about

Did not intend to offend you, so sorry if you felt that way.

In fact I quoted your previous message agreeing with what you said.

Still I want to point out that stating my temperature is "x" without telling your ambient temp is not very useful because if another person has say 62° but different room temps then there is ZERO sense in comparing these data.

It's like comparing apples with oranges.

My gpu is basically running at 80% fan speed all the time When underload I dont know what the ambiant temp is but its 34f to 56f. I would just strive to keep you expensive in vestment running for a long time. I just hope the thermal paste is ok because random fans jumping could mean the die isnt completely covered

Yep, that's why we need to know if we can re apply the thermal paste if factory has been sloppy in doing it.

Since no answer has been given here, and I doubt any official Asus employee will address this matter, I've already wrote to Asus support themselves.

Yes I did for the first question.

As for the dust, I already said my case is crystal clean. Gpu is less then 9 months old. No dust whatsoever

It has to be the automatic fan curve. I never use it i always use my own which is very aggressive. Low temps means higher boost clock more fps
