Hello All, I have the MAXIMUS VI EXTREME, and no driver installer seems to be able to work on my computer. I've tried the one direct on the support page, as well as this thread. I see in my device manager that there is a "Network Controller" without a driver, but windows continously says that the drivers are not compatible when I try to install them.
Is there something I might be missing to make this work?Last edited by octomobiki; 05-19-2021 at 08:07 PM.

not sure about maximus but if it has the AQC107 controller, this might work:
Station Driver has a moded 3.1.121 firmware install package that works for our Asus boards now. The Marvell d/l aborts on ASUS boards.
tation Driver has a moded 3.1.121 firmware install package installs Marvell-Aquantia-Firmware-Version-3.1.121 without patching the install files.
https://www.station-drivers.com/inde...1)/lang,en-gb/
worked for me.
the drivers you can get from Marvell directly:
https://www.marvell.com/support/downloads.html
I just click on windows 10 64 bit n the left scroll list and then part number AQC107 in the right scroll list.Last edited by Int8bldr; 05-20-2021 at 04:49 AM.

You will need to use this method mate.
Due they are many Aquantia AQC107 models which ASUS and other OEM use for their boards.
Some firmware was design to fixing signal loss and abnormal situation of NICs chips.
Here is my solution.
Use Aquantia old classic tool call "DIAG" for update lastest Marvell Aquantia firmware.
Step 1 : Rename lastest firmware as short as you can .(aka AQC10731121A.clx in picture above)
Step 2 : Flashing new firmware via DIAG like picture above.
After finish exit from administrative command window.
You will notice the Marvell Aquantia LED lamp from NIC PHY down and It loss from Device Manager.
Don't worry.
Step 3 : Re-install lastest Marvell Aquantia Driver as picture below.
It almost done. Enjoy your new Aquantia AQC107 NIC PHY with New Firmware and Driver.
If you're not sure which firmware was your AQC107 NIC PHY used.
Use " DIAG " to verify it again.
Everything is easy.Windows 11 22H2 Build 25120.1000 Core i9 7980XE 02006D05 MCU 2021-11-13 R6E 3601 MODDED BIOS TPM 2.0 Enabled VROC 7.7.0.1054 + RST 18.31.3.5434 ME FW 11.12.92.2222 DV 2204.2.62.0 64GB DDR4 3200 XMP POSEIDON 1080i GTX NVIDIA Driver 515.66 WHQL 3TB SAMSUNG 970 EVO PLUS OMS Driver 18.37.0.1003 WHQL i219 V OROM 0.1.02 BA 0.1.16 12.19.1.37 WHQL AQC 107N FW 3.1.121 AQC 3.1.6.0 WHQL Realtek HD 6.0.9338.1 WHQL SAMSUNG ODYSSEY G9 49 NEO FW 1008 VESA HDR 2000 DP

when I try to download the firmware from that website it says illegal download attempt
.
Edit: I was able to make the download work by copying pasting the download link into the browser. However when I run the atlflashupdate, it says "No AQtion network adapter found"
I've also tried downloading the drivers from Marvell, they do not install (or rather, the computer doesn't recognize those drivers as being correct).Last edited by octomobiki; 05-20-2021 at 09:53 AM.

Argh - that was my mistake:
ROG RAMPAGE VI EXTREME <--- that's the model I have, it's the rampage model, but alas, those drivers when I try to install them say they do not work because a newer version of the drivers are already installed. (but the device doesn't show up and I still have an undefined network controller in my device manager list)

For anyone having random connection drops after updating to that 4.x.x.x firmware, I was able to roll back using the firmware updater from Marvells site using atlflashupdate -r
Was able to pull from a backup and put me on 3.1.71
since then I have had no drops, been a few weeks rendering nontsop, fingers crossed, I am running cat 7 10ft to a ubiquiti 10G managed switch. This is on R6EE. Hope this helps anyone, sorry if it's known knowledge but it's been driving me nuts. The rollback has fixed it, I am avoiding any further firmware updates for sake of stability. Before then I was using an intel x550 pcie card for connection which was rock solid, but had to remove it for other reasons. Wasn't looking forward to dealing with this problematic NIC until I did this rollback.
