yeah its a lot of time to adjust stuff and test then fail and adjust some more and gain. I normally just run xmp and no other oc when playin on pc but have the oc save to go back and tweak some more.

First things first, uninstall prime95 and forget you every heard of it. Prime95=ho to turn PC into space heater.
Download something like realbench and select the stress test. That more indiciative or real workloads or blender then get the classroom or Viranda render and run it in animation mode where it will render it over and over until you stop it.

Cant win them all, whats your heat doing? 87 is a bit on the high side, get that down to 80C or less on hottest core and bet you can squeeze 5Ghz out. Crap I can get 5.1 GHz out of a 9940 but thats on a custom loop, not an AIO. But If I were to choose and AIO the H115I is a good choice. Keep one around for testing new boards and CPU before I stick them in the case.

9900ks tweaked for gaming and not rendering:
multi: x51
vcore: instead of 1.29 vcore with LLC 6 i run 1.32 vore with LLC 5 (5 degree cooler)
avx - 1
cache: x49
Cooler: NH-D15 tweaked for pull config without buzzing noise (roughly around -3 to -7% cooling capacity)

Limiting factor: 185 watt via Bios IF i render or cut vids.

My Rig is not mission critical.
So i dumped prime and OCCT(small data set) as well.

The same RAM tweaks as with my 8086k yield lesser results by 0,5-1,3% due to...specter mitigations?

Since it can only be about single core performance nowadays: 524 pts in R20
